Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Punjab Agriculture & Meat Company (PAMCO) and UAF ink MOU Punjab Agriculture & Meat Company and University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) have inked Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in order to promote seedless Citrus orchards in Layyah & Bhakkar Districts. The MOU signing ceremony was held at UAF Vice Chancellor’s Chamber. Both the parties were agreed for the propagation of certified seedless citrus plants.

The certificate by UAF will cover the identification of verities, screening of diseases and environment conduciveness. UAF will also provide technical back stopping for development of new citrus zone in the both districts of Southern Punjab. According to MOU University will be responsible to prepare feasibility for seedless citrus certified nurseries in both districts Layyah & Bhakkar.

This collaboration will provide excellence in promoting new citrus zone focusing the quality production PAMCO will consult and collaborate the University for ensuring the outcome of this effort in the shape of great benefit of the farmers and agri-business industry sector of Punjab.

Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF and Chief Executive Officer PAMCO, Dr. Hamid Jalil signed the documents from their respective organizations member provincial assembly Punjab Rao Kashif, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Dean Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Director External Linkages, Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad Chattha and Director Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Prof. Dr. Asif Ali were also present at the ceremony.
