Pakistan sets
up pavilion at 'Fruit Logistica' trade fair
ISLAMABAD (February 05 2010): Pakistan has
set up first time Pavilion with several
exhibition stalls representing over 50
companies in the World's largest Trade Fair,
"Fruit Logistica" in Berlin, said a press
release issued here on Thursday. Pakistan's
Ambassador to Germany Shahid A. Kamal
inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion in Berlin.
He visited the stalls at the exhibition and
met with Pakistani traders as well as
officials of the Exhibition Management. On
this occasion the Ambassador said that the
world's leading exhibition provides great
opportunity for promotion, development and
marketing of fruits and vegetable products.
He said that there was a need of more
intensive interaction between farmers and
exporters to upgrade quality of fruit and
vegetable products. He said that there was a
growing market for Pakistani fruits,
especially mangoes and Pakistani traders
should give due importance to fruit
processing and packaging for longer
perseverance.-PR
