Dr. Muhammad Kahlid Baloch has taken the
charge of the office of the Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) of Livestock & Dairy
Development Board (LDDB), Islamabad 15th
July, 2010. Dr. Baloch is a professionally
sound veterinarian having
vast 23 years of field experience as well as
an admirable administrator. He completed his
Post Graduation in Animal
Reproduction from the University of Aberdeen
Scotland (United Kingdom) in 1997. Dr.
Baloch served at various senior
positions in the Government of Balochistan.

Cheque Distribution Ceremony in District
Loralai Balochistan
The project management for meat prodcution
arranged a cheque distribution cermony in
Lorali (Balochistan). Main aim of
this event was that to make awareness in the
livestock farmers for adaptation of new
technologies and getting maximum
production from their animals, and also
providing the plate form to them to
contribute in the economy of the country
specially for the province.
In this view the Federal Minister for L& DD
Mir Hamayoun Aziz Kurd was requested for
chief guest, his excellency he accepts
the request. On 31st May the ceremony took
place in the Balochistan Residenatial
College Loralai. The farmers, notables and
politiccal figures were participated. In the
welcome address, Dr. Khalid Baloch PD (Meat
Production), welcome the Honorable
Minister and notables and also review the
project activities.
After welcome address the Secretay Livestock
and Dairy Development Balochistan Mr. Zafar
Ullah Baloch was requested for
speech. The worthy secretary put a thorough
review on the activities of Livestock and
Dairy Development in the province and
suggested some projects for launching in the
province
Then the chief guest was requested for the
distribution of cheques among the farmers.On
the end to cheque distribution
ceremony, the honorable chief guest was
offered for address, in his speech he was
lightened the ativities of ministry in
the country.
In his address he also mentioned that free
export policy is offered to the people of
Pakistan . These kind of activities
will also put a great positive impact on the
livestock sector especially on the living
standards of the livestock farmers.
On the end of his speech he said that the
meat development project will be extended in
all others remaining districts of
Balochistan.

Village Livestock Workers Ready to Serve the
Community
LDDB is playing an important role in
capacity building to rural communities
involved in dairying and animal sector.
Under
“Dairy Development” project farmers are
being trained in different aspects on animal
production. To provide farmers
Veterinary first aid at their doorstep,
youth from registered communities (MPGs) are
trained in animal care, feeding and
Livestock management. The project director
Syed Hassan Raza informed that a group of 30
students belonging to Punjab (06),
NWFP (18), Balochistan (07), AJ&K (03) and
FANA (05) has completed its 6 weeks training
program in UVAS, Lahore; and being
passed out on February 28, 2009.
Under this activity project has already
trained 151 students working in rural
communities. The program has been widely
appreciated by farmers and rural
communities.
